The Dragons’ Role in the New Age: Explaining the Dimensions: Introduction

The Dimensions of the New Age are not the same as those of quantum physics. The New Age defines Dimensions as different states of reality or consciousness. Whereas in quantum physics, dimensions are mathematical constructs that define the behavior of matter and energy. These constructs include the properties of vibrating matter: period, amplitude, wavelength, and frequency.

 

Santhoshi in “The Ladder of Light,” refers to the Dimensions as the “Ladder of Dimensions – a vertical pathway of light – that connect mater to spirit, Earth to Cosmos.” Another definition for Dimensions is that they are a means of organizing different planes of existence by their rates of vibration. Every Dimension has its laws and rules that are specific to that plane.

 

Dimensions, in New Age theology, relate to the Ascension cycle. (Note 1) In fact, they outline a blueprint for individuals to evolve – unification with the Cosmic Source. Therefore, the Dimensions are a ladder to climb to the Cosmic Source. However, these planes are not stacked up like floors of a building. They are, instead, a web, with threads interweaving with other planes.

 

Most New Age writers claim that there are from nine to twenty-seven Dimensions. However, since New Age writers often think in terms of quantum physics, there are twelve Dimensions of note. The first four Dimensions, which are linear, vibrate at a lower frequency. The remainder, which are multi-dimensional, vibrate at higher levels.

 

The first three Dimensions deal with the physical plane. The First Dimension is the Monad or Soul Plane where the individual is created. The Second Dimension is the Mental Plane where forms and shapes emerge. In the Third Dimension, the physical world becomes solid.

 

According to New Age channelers, the Earth is transitioning to the Fifth and Sixth Dimensions. The Fourth Dimension, which includes Spacetime, is where the Earth is now. Meanwhile, in the Fifth Dimension, the physical world vibrates faster and holds higher frequencies. This is the Dimension of “Unity Consciousness,” the plane where individuals experience a sense of “oneness with all.”

Note 1. “Ascension” is defined as “the raising of the personal vibrational frequency to the Higher Self, which unifies with the Cosmic Force.” A person moves from having a Light Body to being a Light Being (Higher Self). The Higher Self is the divine aspect of the self that exists beyond the individual’s ego.
