Sacred Geography of the New Age: Notable Ley Lines

 Ley lines are hidden routes for the Earth’s energy. They connect natural formations with sacred sites and landmarks. The lines in Europe are well studied, while the lines elsewhere are still being researched. The lines in Asia follow usually Hindu or Buddhist religious principles. In North and South America, the lines follow Native spiritual traditions.

 

Trying to find out about non-European lines is difficult. I did consult as many sources as I could but there are still gaps. I hope that others will fill them in.

 

In Europe:

St. Michael’s Line (England):

From Land’s End to St. Michaels Mount to Somerset. Follows the current of the Archangel Michael through a line of churches.

 

Michael and Mary Lines (England):

From Great Yarmouth to St. Michael’s Mount.

Follows the line of churches dedicated to the Archangel Michael and the Virgin Mary. These two lines intersect at Avebury. Michael carries masculine energy, while Mary carries feminine energy.

 

The Grail Line (Scotland to France):

The path of the Holy Grail runs from Scotland through Chartes (France) to the Gulf du Lion (France).

 

Apollo-Athena Axis (France to Greece):

Runs from Mont Saint-Michael (France) to Delphi (Greece) to the Temple of Apollo (Greece).

Follows the currents of the Gods Apollo and Athena.

 

Paris Meridian Line (Rose Line) (France):

Aligns with Chartes Cathedral. Was the actual North/South line of the Prime Meridian of France. As the “Rose Line,” it follows the current of Mary Magdaline.

 

Michael and Apollo (Ireland to Israel):

The two lines of St. Michael’s and the Apollo Axis connected together.

 

Atlantis Line (Portugal to England):

Follows the remains of Atlantis from the Azores (Portugal) to Cornwall (England).

 

Elsewhere:

 

Great Circle Grid (Runs along the Equator):

Great Pyramid (Egypt) to Petra (Jordan) to Nazca Lines (Peru) to Easter Island.

 

Great Lakes Ley Line (US/Canada)

Notable site is Ohio Serpent Mound.

 

Mississippi Valley (US):

From Cahokia (IL) to Poverty Point (LA) to Moundville (AL).

 

Crystal River (US):

From the Crystal River (FL) to Collinsville (IL).

 

Maya Ley Line (Honduras to Mexico):

From Copan Ruins (Honduras) to the Pyramid of the Sun (Mexico), includes Chichen Itza (Mexico).

 

Route of Viracocha (Inca God) (Peru):

From Tiahuanaco to Tiwanku.

 

Nazca Lines (Peru):

Links the geoglyphs to the mountains surrounding the site.
