PERSONAL GODS OF DECEMBER

Like every Polytheist, I have Gods from other pantheons that I honor. For my Ancestors, I observe the Winter Solstice and Mothers’ Night. The first is for the Acheulian Goddess of my Deep Ancestors, who observed the Solstice with bonfires. Mothers’ Night is for my Anglo-Saxon Ancestors. (They requested that I have an altar to them.) Since both occur during Saturnalia, the Roman Gods have made room for Them.

FRIGGA AND THE DSIR: On the Winter Solstice which is Mothers Night, I celebrate Frigga, the Norse All-Mother, Her Twelve Handmaidens and the Mothers of my ancestral line.

THE ACHEULIAN GODDESS: An ancient Goddess from Paleolithic times, the Acheulian Goddess is for me the Goddess of Beginnings.
